Not only is this apartment incredibly stylish with its high ceilings, elegant design, and refined furnishings, but the building also has a fascinating history. Built in 1687 as a winter residence for the Holstein family, the mansion later belonged to the royal family for forty-five years. Today, it’s a listed building found in the heart of Copenhagen and makes for an idyllic base for a family. The beauty of this home lies in its elegance and simplicity. Each detail has been considered with artistic touches, thoughtful books and sleek designed elements, giving this home a really luxurious home-from-home feel. We love the fireplace feature in the master bedroom, the modern shelving systems, the Bang&Olufsen TV, and the large ornate mirror. Each bedroom is comfortable and stylish - the children’s room features beautiful Oliver Furniture bunkbeds, whilst the master suite is particularly peaceful – waking up here is a dreamy way to start the day. Breakfasts around the sleek dining table are best spent with unique pastries from Andersen (a fifteen-minute walk away) before heading out to the National Museum opposite your apartment. Explore the cobbled streets and canals around Indre By, stopping off for lunch at Atelier September for their fluffy pancakes with seasonal compote, and a selection of seasonal dishes.
