This charming stone villa sits within the tumbling vineyards of the Luberon. Days can be spent visiting local wineries and exploring nearby medieval villages like Gordes and Cavaillon – either by car or road bike. Surrounded by a hectare of lavender fields, orchards and olive groves, you can experience Provence in miniature without leaving the grounds. The swimming pool terrace bursts with rose bushes and has a private Jacuzzi, while the wisteria-shaded dining areas are perfect for alfresco meals. Though it’s traditional on the outside, there’s a modern feel inside, with a glass wall by the dining table overlooking the gardens. Rooms are filled with sunlight, especially the provincial living room set around a cosy wood burner.

Home truths

All of the bedrooms are upstairs, so this villa may not be suitable for those with limited mobility.

Your host can provide a high chair for infants on request.

The swimming pool isn't fenced, but there is an automatic shutter. If you're bringing little ones, they'll need to be supervised at all times.

For those working remotely, there's a dedicated desk and workspace in the open living area.

We recommend having a car in this remote area. There's private parking beneath an awning within the grounds.

It’s little wonder why Cezanne, Van Gogh, and Chagall all felt the pull to immortalise the region in art. But beyond its mouthwatering food and drink, sensory romance, and small-town serenity, it’s the region’s manifold...
