This glass-fronted lodge is on a private estate with a wide range of facilities. Surrounded by acres of nature reserve, there are trails to hike and bike and lakes for watersports. The on-site spa has multiple communal pools, and you'll have your own hot tub and private balcony. The glass front of the home offers lovely views of Swillbrook lake and the stars at night from indoors, and plenty of natural light, though it does mean the home won't feel very private – we recommend bringing an eye mask for sleeping, as the main bedroom has no blinds.

Home truths

Not all bathrooms are photographed, but we expect consistent quality throughout.

There is one parking space, but you can use the nearby overflow car park for additional cars. There are three electric vehicle charging points on the estate that operate on a first-come, first-use basis.

We recommend bringing a torch, as there's no street lighting on the estate.

You'll have access to communal facilities, including the on-site restaurant, gym, spa, and pools.

The main bedroom doesn't have blinds, so you'll want an eye mask so the sunlight doesn't wake you.

Large single-sex groups aren't permitted, and noise should be kept to a minimum after 11pm.

You won't have waterside access to Swillbrook lake, as it's a nature conservation lake.
