With its 1950s interiors – we see you, mid-century modern furniture – there’s a vintage charm to this home that we can’t get enough of. It’s not luxurious by any means but it’s full of soul and the checkerboard floors in the kitchen and bathroom solidify the coherent theme of this home. Lucky for us, it’s been recently renovated so you’ll still get to enjoy twenty-first-century luxuries, like the full-size washer and dryer and the high-quality bed linen. Situated on the ground floor, guests will have access to the backyard which will surely come in handy on hot summer days.

Home truths
With the host’s advance approval, it’s possible to accommodate a child on the sofa in the living room
Even though this home is a little further out, you can be in Lower Manhattan in just twenty-five minutes
We don’t have any photos of the garden because it was rather lacklustre when we visited in February

Host
This home is managed by Thatcher
This home is managed directly by its owner who will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Your host works for Google and enjoys meeting new people from all over the world. He rents out his charming home over the summer when he's in Martha's Vineyard with his extended family (and we really can't blame him). Lucky for you, the ground-floor apartment has a fantastic backyard that is perfect for long summer evenings.
