Spread across two apartments, this two-storey Coronado Island home is ideal for two families travelling together, or a multi-generational reunion. The living spaces and kitchens on both floors let you spend some time with those closest to you, while the garden and alfresco area allow you to come together and enjoy the sun. We're particularly fond of the location – you're a stroll away from two white sandy beaches here – considered some of the country's best. One looks out across San Diego Bay, and the other is perfect for catching the sunset over the Pacific. As a bonus, the home also houses its own fleet of cruiser bikes – mount your steeds and explore the local area in style.

The dining table can only seat six guests comfortably – though there's space for four people around the breakfast bar.
