Do you have a question about this home or the local area?
Even with the cruise ships and the tourists, something about Venice still evokes the splendour of the Doge’s era, and Repubblica Heights manages (pretty well, we might add) to hold onto some of that magic. From the statue on the terrace to the crowns hanging above the bed, everything about the flat gives a feeling of fading, but still impressive, glory. On a practical level, it’s huge, but this isn’t the kind of flat that you pick based on the practicalities. One look at it should be enough to hold you fixated.

About Castello
Castello represents a cluster of islands at the eastern edge of Venice’s centre. It’s a quieter side of Venice, without too many tourists. All this changes, however, during the Biennale. This behemoth of the art world takes place in odd-numbered years, and is housed in the former shipyards that give the quarter its name. When the exhibition isn't on, you’ll find museums and ornate churches to explore, and an abundance...
