Inspired by the Mediterranean, this home caught our eye for its fantastic views. Right on the river in Harbor Beach Isles, you'll be mere steps from the water. There's even a dock, where the owner's boat currently resides. The outside area looks a little tired, but you'll undoubtedly appreciate the heated pool, alfresco dining table, and panoramic balcony. Location-wise, you're not far from Fort Lauderdale's sandy beach or restaurants – just a five-minute golf cart ride, in fact. Rent street-legal carts and bikes through your host and set off for an adventure.

Home truths
This home has a dock, but the owner's boat is parked there. They'll have access to the boat via a side entrance. It's strictly off-limits for guests.
The outside area is a little shabby around the pool. We think it could do with a refresh. The swimming pool isn't fenced, so children will need to be supervised at all times.
There's on-site parking available here. We suggest hiring a car if you plan to explore further afield.
Your host provides beach gear you're welcome to use. This includes four beach chairs, a cooler, and a beach cart.
You need to be at least 25 years old to rent this home.
