This Grade I-listed cottage feels like something straight from a fairytale. Exposed beams, stone walls, and a log-burner, with an unlimited supply of wood, make it feel like the perfect cosy retreat. Though it dates back to 1374, all the modern comforts and lovingly restored features here will make you feel right at home – like the well-equipped kitchen and the skylight ceilings. With vast grounds, a lavender garden and sunny spots to dine alfresco, it’s a perfect place for a group getaway. And while you’ll enjoy the tranquillity of your secluded spot, the Brecon Beacons, Hereford, and Hay-on-Wye are all less than a thirty-minute drive away.

The stairs from the kitchen lead directly up to bedroom two, and there’s no stairgate on this staircase.
The maze garden has some uneven ground, so mind your step.
