Stay in this modern three-storey townhouse just ten minutes from Kendal, the gateway to the Lake District. The layout of this home might be a bit confusing – there are two bedrooms on the ground floor and another two on the second floor. All bedrooms have zip-and-link beds that can either be twin beds or super-king size beds. The living, kitchen, and dining area is on the first floor and leads onto the private balcony, which has a staircase down to the shared garden. We don’t have pictures of the dining area, balcony, or garden, but we expect the style to match this contemporary abode. It’s the location that stands out to us – you’re steps from a golf course, Lake Windermere is a fifteen-minute drive away, and the Yorkshire Dales are also within easy reach.

Home truths

One well-behaved dog is welcome to join you.

There's a private balcony that leads to a ground level garden which is shared with the home next door. There aren't pictures but we expect the quality to be consistent with the rest of the home.

We recommend hiring a car or driving here to get the most out of your stay. There's parking for up to two cars on the driveway and there's more parking nearby if you need it.

Your host can provide a cot and a high chair upon request. Keep an eye on the little ones on the balcony, it's connected to a spiral staircase.

This home is newly built with the same features as other townhouses on the road. It's not the most soulful or charming place.

About The Lake District

Poets and novelists have often escaped to the Lake District for a spot of inspiration. Famously, Wordsworth pondered about daffodils and clouds during his time here. The undulating hills are tracked with drystone walls while sheep graze, and farmsteads enjoy untouched beauty for miles around. England’s biggest lake, Windermere, cuts through a valley, sleek as glass and hosts a litany of cosy-pub-filled towns and water sports venues along its shores....
