The homely interiors are built for entertaining – gather everyone around the table for meals, challenge friends to a round of chess in the games room, or curl up on the sofa in front of the modern suspended fireplace – with a glass of Port, naturally. You'll get the best views from the terrace, but since the ground-floor bedrooms all offer direct patio access, those vistas will be waiting for you as soon as you wake. A leisurely walk will bring you to Pinhão, where you can partake in wine tasting in a quinta or hop on the train to world-renowned wineries nearby.
