Only a short stroll away from Hackney Marshes and right by Chatsworth Road Market, this contemporary townhouse is surrounded by pubs and cafes. Everyone and their dog is welcome here, though the four-storey layout won't work for all guests. This home's highlights include its private courtyard garden, handy office, and bathrooms perfect for a relaxing soak. From arty venues to sporty pastimes, there's a lot to do on your doorstep. But the nearby tube station and parking opportunities open the city up further for sightseers and commuters alike.

Local guide
About Hackney
Hackney – the name of this neighbourhood is now more likely to evoke the image of a hipster on a bicycle with a sourdough loaf stuffed in their satchel rather than anything else. Filled with great independent restaurants, cafes and pubs, this part of town is a delight to explore. The green expanses of London Fields and Victoria Park are pretty unbeatable on a summer's day and be sure to check out Broadway Market and Victoria Park Village too, where you'll wander through leafy streets of period houses, and rub shoulders with London's hip young arts and media types.

Explore Clissold Park
A beautiful park with historic buildings, a little canal, fountains, and a massive area for picnics or chilling. Enjoy the amazing playground for all ages, visit the animal enclosure with deer and goats, and take a leisurely walk around the scenic lake.
Order takeaway from Yard Sale Pizza
Feeling lazy? Forget Dominos - these creative and passionate chefs with a wood-fire oven make what is probably the best takeaway pizza in town. And of course, they deliver.

Serving up a broad variety of hearty Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine, Pivaz manages to deliver an authentic taste while maintaining a progressive and contemporary feel.
Dine at My Neighbours the Dumplings
Highly recommended by your host, this family-run dumpling restaurant follows the dim sum tradition of small plates cooked to perfection.
Go for a vegan meal at the Spread Eagle
London’s first 100% vegan pub has mastered the art of keeping up with the times while not losing its traditional pub charm. The food is Mexican & delicious, perfect with a pint or a creative cocktail.
Catch a flick at the Castle Cinema
This quirky little local gem is a one of the area’s best kept secrets. The perfect balance of quality sound & vision with cosy arm-chair seating and décor make the Castle a perfect indie picturehouse.
Drop in at Black Cat Café for a vegan bite
An ideal unfussy café that's just next door, the menu at this ethical and vegan café might be simple but they're a top spot for budget plant-based food that's healthy too.
Soak up the sun at Millfields Park
Made up of three large open spaces around Lea Bridge and Chatsworth Road, it's a great spot to soak up the sun with the family or to join the Lea Valley walk.
Get your caffeine fix at Millfields Coffee
With its generously sized kitchen and in-house chef, Millfields is as much about casual all day dining as it is about coffee. We recommended their Turkish eggs.
Catch a game at London Stadium
Home to West Ham United FC and host to sports events and concerts, this huge stadium offers the chance to enjoy exciting matches and memorable performances during your time in London.
