With direct views of the Mercato Centrale – Florence’s foodie paradise – from not just one, but two terraces, this apartment is perfect for those who prefer to spend their time al fresco. You’ll find a dining table perfect for sharing a platter of the finest Tuscan delicacies and a seating area ready for bottles of bubbly at sunset. When it’s time to head indoors, the clean, modern spaces will make you feel right at home. Begin days with a pep in your step thanks to the glossy, fire engine red kitchen and look forward to curling up on the snug sofa during lulls in your itinerary. Situated in the quintessentially Florentine San Lorenzo neighbourhood, you’re mere footsteps from no-frills trattorie and grand ristorante dining rooms. Less than a ten-minute walk places you at the feet of Michelangelo’s David in the Accademia Gallery, while a mere five-minute stroll will see you arrive at the red-domed Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore.

Home truths
This home is on the fourth floor without lift access, you will need to climb stairs and we do not recommend the home for those with mobility issues
As there is no on-site parking space, we recommend leaving the car at home and exploring Florence by foot, public transport or taxi
The single beds can be pushed together to form doubles
The dining table in the kitchen only has enough seating for four guests
Two guests will sleep on the sofa bed in the living space which would compromise any social communal space – we think this home is best suited to six guests
Just a heads up, all homes in Italy have a limit on the amount of power (3 KW) and using too many electric appliances at the same time will cause a power outage – your host will show you at check-in what to do in this situation
Like many homes in Florence, the pipes in this building are on the older side and this means you can at times expect some drainage smell in the bathrooms
