Perched up high in the narrow unmistakably Lisboeta streets of Bairro Alto lays this breezy modern apartment, perfect for an authentic encounter with Portugal’s capital. Inside, an open-plan kitchen-living area serves as the entertainment hub of the home. Throw together some knockout Iberian finger food in the well-appointed kitchen as the rest of your clan take to the impressively lengthy modular couch. The double-height ceilings in the lounge coupled with an impressive cinema projector transforms the space into your own private theatre for cosy nights in. When it’s time to take to the white cobbled pavements, you couldn’t be better primed. The charming Number 28 tram can be caught from the end of your street and will take you on a whistle-stop tour of some of Lisbon’s prettiest landmarks. You’ll reach São Jorge castle in no more than fifteen minutes and the cathedral in ten. Saldanha is the uptown business district of Lisbon, filled with designer shops and upscale restaurants that contrast the modern buildings where many locals spend their working days. But it's not like Saldanha closes down after five – there's plenty of residents who appreciate the neighbourhood's sleek look.
