Situated a two-minute walk from Praia do Carneiro, this pristine apartment is perfect for a family or close-knit group of friends wanting to while away their days exploring Portugal’s dramatic seafront. Inside the home, you’ll find natural textures and a palette of sand, beige and white. It’s a soothing combination that feels fitting in a place by the ocean. The huge L-shaped sofa was our favourite spot, especially with a glass of wine in hand at the end of a busy day spent beachcombing. Begin your days slow and steady with breakfast booked via your host. After a picnic, put together in your streamlined kitchenette, find a spot on the pebbles to the south to watch the waves lap the foot of the Felgueiras lighthouse. Then stroll for ten minutes to the north for waterfront cafes and a spot of sunbathing on the Praia de Gondarém. Should you fancy swapping the sea for the city, it’s a short fifteen-minute drive into the heart of bohemian Porto.

The wi-fi dropped occasionally when we went upstairs
For bookings of twenty-eight nights or more, the host will pay for utilities up to a limit of €190 – guests will pay any extra amount
If you will be staying on a monthly basis, the host will drop in occasionally to inspect the apartment
Daily cleaning of the apartment is carried out between 11am and 5pm – textiles and towels are only changed for bookings longer than five nights
