In central Ostuni, this rustic apartment is situated in a renovated 16th-century mansion and is in a great spot for getting to know the city. You won't find much parking here, and the kitchen is certainly on the smaller side. But you'll have plenty of local shops and fantastic restaurants on your doorstep, so you won't miss out on much without a car. The apartment building also has a number of cosy communal spaces, including a lounge and an indoor spa bath.

Home truths

Your host operates several apartments here, so the exact view, layout and furnishings might differ slightly from the photos. The overall quality should remain the same.

There's no door between the living area and the beds, so you won't have full privacy.

The kitchen is on the smaller side, and is better suited to light bites than large meals.

The windows are missing some curtains – it may be worth packing an eyemask so the sun doesn't wake you.

This home is in an apartment building in a central location, with the potential for some noise during your stay. The building has multiple common areas, including an ancient chapel, a communal lounge, an indoor spa bath, and a courtyard.

Quiet hours should be observed between 10pm and 8am.

About Ostuni

You’ll probably spot Ostuni long before you reach the so-called White City of Puglia. It rises up on three hills, above the rust-red earth punctuated by olive trees. Shambling, narrow streets lead up the hillside to the crowning 12th-century Ostuni Cathedral. It’s a veritable labyrinth of ancient alleyways, where you can sample traditional Puglian fare like handmade orecchiette and oozing dollops of burrata in terrace restaurants, or taste a Salice...
