A private Jacuzzi and mountain-facing terraces make this home perfect for soaking up the sun. The design may be a little dated, but we're fond of the cosy, fuss-free atmosphere. There are six single beds, making it a great choice for families over couples or friends. Although it's not right by the beach, Tacoronte has a charming old town with shops and restaurants and offers easy access to hiking trails up to Tenerife's famous volcanic peaks. Or, hop in the car and explore the coast – on-site parking means the possibilities are endless.

Home truths
The first bedroom may have the single beds pushed together to create a double. The third bedroom has a pull-out trundle bed that's best suited to children.
You'll need a car in this remote area. There are three on-site parking spaces, one of which is covered.
You may not find an oven here – though there is a hob. We think the kitchen is better suited to prepping lighter bites than large meals.
There are neighbours in close proximity here, so this home isn't the most private.
The traditional decor here might not be to everyone's taste. It feels a little dated in parts.
