This restored historic home sits in Gensac, a little medieval hilltop village with amazing views over the Dordogne valley. Inside, it’s full of character – think stone walls, oak beams and Louis XV fireplaces. It’s been updated with modern touches like ensuite bedrooms, a gym, and a games room with a cosy wood-burning stove. Outside, there’s a courtyard pool, a terrace with a view and even a couple of acres of private woodland to explore. Restaurants are just a stroll away, and you’re in prime wine country between Bordeaux and Bergerac if you fancy hiring a car.
