From the long infinity pool, you can admire Lake Como flanked by mountains while outdoor lounges on terraces take in the snow-tipped Alps. It’s a long way up to this deluxe villa, but it’s worth it for the view. Apart from the heated infinity-edge pool and hot tub, guests here can enjoy a tipple at the outdoor bar and salute the sun with yoga in the wellness room. Entertainment is available in the dedicated media room and there’s a study for those needing to work remotely. The villa dates back to the Art Nouveau period but has been decked out with all mod cons – sound systems, games consoles and super-fast Wifi – for a luxurious escape to the Italian Lakes.
