Make the great escape to this pocket-sized lodge for two, squirrelled away within the peaceful heaths of Suffolks fringing Southwold. Each of the five timber lodges within shared grounds offers a separate shower room just a hop from your door and a private deck to soak up the countryside vistas. While in the wider grounds, discover a shared fitness studio, a communal sauna, and a shared outdoor kitchen tailor-made for evening barbecues. If you plan to bring a dog along, you'll need to book exclusive use of all five lodges. Why not invite your pals and turn this into a friendcation?

Home truths

This home isn't suitable for toddlers or children.

Dogs are welcome, but only if all five lodges have been booked for exclusive use.

There is private parking and access to an EV charger.

While there is no in-unit kitchen here, you will find a communal outdoor kitchen. This is better suited to prepping lighter bites and barbecues rather than large meals.

Your private shower room is not attached to the cabin. You’ll have to nip across a small path to reach it – the dressing gowns will come in handy for that.

The bedroom is quite small with limited storage.

Your hosts politely ask you to keep noise to a minimum out of respect for the surrounding nature and other guests.

What makes Southwold Pier different is its arcade of humorous, quirky, coin-operated machines. Created by the inventor Tim Hunkin, they feature a range of eccentric – and...
