This modern, warehouse-style apartment in the vibrant Poole suburb of Ashley-Cross, is a real find. The huge arched windows and exposed brick are more New York loft than West Country, and the minimal décor has Scandi-chic written all over it (think geometric lights, boho cushions and plenty of candles for extra hygge). We loved the open kitchen and living room with its bold green velvet sofa, but the piece de resistance has to be the lovely balcony – the ideal setting for pre-dinner drinks. Both bedrooms feature crisp white linens, en suites with on-trend black hardware, and Juliet balconies – ideal for two couples holidaying together. We could see ourselves throwing the doors open in the morning and enjoying the sea air with a coffee in bed. You’re just a ten-minute drive from Bournemouth’s sandy beaches and classic kiss-me-quick vibe, and upmarket Poole is ten minutes in the other direction. Come sundown, you’re within spitting distance of the local pub and Ashley Cross’s excellent restaurants and bars so just take your pick.
