It’s been recently renovated to the highest level, and the hosts seem to have thought of everything – right down to the extra-soft scatter cushions. What you'll notice most vividly are the pops of black, almost Scandi in style, everywhere from the plug sockets to the counters to the irrefutably stylish en-suite bathtub. It feels edgy, especially contrasted with exposed brick in some rooms and chesterfield sofas in another; we particularly recommend a stay here for young groups of friends or couples. The kitchen is high-end, with quality appliances and a breakfast bar, and there’s a dining table too for more formal meals. Be sure to take every opportunity you can to throw open the doors to the balcony and let the sea air in – you're on the coast after all. And there's no shortage of cafes, restaurants, or independent shops for you to explore, whether that's in the village itself or further afield in central Poole or Bournemouth – easily accessible by car, and lined with famous beaches.
