Packed with character, this 1940s home could have been ripped straight from a magazine spread. The interior is picture-perfect, with bohemian chic and Southern California style. The high ceilings, wood beams and white-painted walls in the living space give it a light and fresh feel. There are entertaining touches, from the all-in-one 'spool' (spa and pool) to the outdoor kitchen and the indoor swing seat. Close to the Uptown Design District, driving here is optional as galleries, boutiques and restaurants are within walking distance. If you don't want to cook yourself there's also the option to organise a private chef.
