Expansive views of quintessential English meadows will greet you all year round, though in spring, a sea of bluebells in the surrounding woods makes it an even more attractive proposition. In summer, a heated pool and tennis court provide plenty of opportunities for outdoor enjoyment. An autumn escape in East Sussex is all about long country walks – admiring the changing colours of nature – followed by a visit to a centuries-old pub.
