A truly grand welcome awaits you at this Jacobean manor in North Wales – the Grade I listed building is bursting with period features everywhere you look. Get to know the house's former residents as you admire the oil paintings on the walls, and snuggle up around the stone fireplace in the wood-panelled living room. There's an AGA for cooking up some local produce, and you'll fall in love with the stately dining room, where you can feast like kings. Upstairs, you'll find antique four-poster beds and adjoining en suites – just be aware that, as in days gone by, they are mainly fitted with baths rather than showers. The outside space is just as impressive with 100 acres of grounds to explore, covering the bright green lawns, the Victorian walled garden and the pretty River Alyn. Your host can arrange a variety of exciting activities on the estate to keep you entertained, from clay pigeon shooting and bird of prey displays, to massages and archery sessions.

Host

This home is managed by Oliver

This home is managed directly by a business. A member of their staff will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Nearly twenty years ago, Oliver and his friend began curating the world's most unique and rustic getaways. Driven by their own unforgettable experience at a chateau, they have grown remarkably since then. Much like Plum, they believe in hand-picked luxury that doesn't break the bank.

This home is nominated for the Plum Guide Award.
