The humble beach hut is all grown up – that’s the impression you’ll get when you walk into the minimalist open-plan living area of this architectural home. White walls and high wooden ceilings meet playful touches like surfboard wall art, woven chairs, and oversized wicker lampshades. It’s laid-back, but it’s also stylish and refined. Start your day with breakfast on the terrace or a coffee in one of the house’s peaceful nooks, then head out into Encinitas and the beautiful nearby beaches. You can even go a little further for a day trip to San Diego’s vibrant city streets. In the evening, get the outdoor grill going and dine alfresco while watching the sunset. Roast a few marshmallows on the fire pit, then retreat to one of the five tranquil bedrooms for a night of deep sleep.
