We’re getting tropical treehouse vibes from this three-bedroom San Diego home, thanks largely to its huge upper deck and dangling rope swing. There’s a particularly zen feel to its interiors, with houseplants brightening up its stylish bedrooms and a longboard repurposed as artwork hanging by the fireplace in the open-plan living room. What may have once been a garage now acts as a gateway to the garden, with bean bag chairs and a large overhead door opening straight onto the manicured lawn and fire pit; our favourite part about this space is the sauna, where you’ll wind down after a day spent exploring downtown San Diego. Just a few blocks from the ocean, the house is perfectly placed to explore the vibrant Pacific Beach neighbourhood, as well as the village-esque atmosphere of La Jolla.
