Flooded with natural light, this idyllic country cottage is the perfect getaway for a group or family looking to up sticks and throw themselves into Cotswolds living - it's no wonder it won Silver at The Beautiful South Awards 2022. Dating back to 1850, it has an abundance of original features (including exposed brick walls, a spectacular fireplace, rich wooden beams and stone walls), but a luxurious, contemporary makeover has transformed it into an extraordinarily comfortable stay. The two lounges are the heart of the home, made extra cosy by the roaring inglenook wood-burner and underfloor heating, and they make it so you'll never want to leave once you're stretched out on one of the sofas. Oh and you'll be wowed by the spectacular sun room all the same. Guests who love to cook will enjoy making use of the large kitchen and hosting dinners either in the stone dining room or out on the sunny terrace with its glorious countryside views. The bedrooms are all elegantly styled with soft colour schemes and goose-down bedding – we particularly love the Barcelona chair in front of the French doors in the master bedroom, as well as the gigantic free-standing bath, perfect for an indulgent bubble-filled soak. With such stunning interiors, you'll be torn between cosying up and outdoor living while staying here – but the pristine, flower-filled garden that surrounds the home will have you jumping with joy once the sun comes out. Enjoy discovering the local charm of the Cotswolds which combines peace and quiet with endless nature and a touch of quintessential English countryside culture.

This home is managed by Chris

This home is managed directly by its owner who will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Chris currently lives in Australia with her husband who is a wine consultant. Together, they travel the world's wine regions throughout the year and share a love for books, art, trying new foods, architecture and wine (of course). They have two houses in the UK and plan to return to the Cotswolds one day. They pride their homes on being peaceful places full of light, whites and neutrals, as well as boasting beautiful gardens in which to unwind.
