There was once a medieval watchtower on the spot that now holds Miraggio, and when you see the panorama, it becomes clear why. Lots of places in Italy have nice views, but these are beyond anything we’ve seen before. It’s completely private, a secluded hillside where you can retreat from the bustle of the world and feel like there’s nothing except you and the lake. This isolation might be a problem, were there not so much to do in the home. Not only the pool, but billiards, a gym, a garden, even a grand piano if you’re feeling up to playing it. And if, somehow, these views weren’t enough, there’s a cable car within walking distance that will give you some even more dramatic vistas.
