On a hillside above the Bay of Nerano, Il Marinaio gives you a taste of the wonders of the Amalfi coast. The surrounding area needs no introduction, so we’ll get straight to the home. Perched among olive groves, with several huge terraces, it’s the kind of place you can clear your head, and there’s nothing quite like an evening cocktail at sunset over the Mediterranean. That’s an experience you’ll write home about. There’s also a pizza oven (we are, of course, not far from Naples), and if it’s too daunting to have a go yourself, your host can arrange for a chef to come along and stoke the flames for you.
