We love a home with a sense of place, and this is just one of the reasons that maritime-inspired Le Phare makes the perfect base for exploring Brittany. Just a few moments from a charming fishing port, from where you can take a boat excursion out to Batz Island during July and August, this four-bedroom home is within walking distance of a number of beaches and restaurants where you can sample the freshest Breton seafood. After a bracing coastal walk, surf school session or perhaps a seaside game of golf at Carantec (7km away), keep your energy up with a swim in the villa’s heated indoor swimming pool, or perhaps relax with a siesta on the private terrace or a soak in your very own jacuzzi. In the evening, try your hand at preparing the fish for which the region is famous on the barbecue, before playing games (provided by the hosts) by the cosy fire.
