Almost 400 years after it was first built, and Lord of the Pines is still wowing guests. You may be pulling up the drive by car rather than horse-drawn carriage, but the magic remains the same; perhaps literally, as there’s a tree on the property that’s rumoured to be enchanted. Regardless of any magic trees, this château will quickly cast its spell over you; antique furniture and all the mod cons sit amongst beautifully restored interior furniture, while the sprawling grounds are home to ancient stone crosses, sun-dappled woodland, and even a tennis court. The home’s guardian is on hand to whip up some gourmet meals, there are complimentary bikes to take a tour of the surrounding area and even a library hidden away in the tower. When can we move in?
