We're in love with the soaring ceilings, old stone walls and huge shuttered windows, while the traditional terracotta floors have underfloor heating to keep chilly toes at bay. Every space is bright, colourful and traditionally Spanish, especially the indulgent main bedroom, with its four-poster bed and delightful en-suite. If you can pull yourself away from the fabulous view, first-class restaurants, art galleries and winding lanes await in Deia, only a fifteen-minute drive away. Cala Deia's single beach isn't suitable for sunbathing, but the crystal clear water is a hit with swimmers and snorkelers. For sandy beaches and waterfront promenades, head to Puerto de Soller, thirty minutes away by car.
