It’s rare that you get the chance to stay in a home that’s almost half a millenia old, and we think it would be the height of foolishness to turn down the opportunity when it arises. This home has been standing since 1571, and has been lovingly restored by the current owners in order to provide the same level of luxury to guests today as it did to the first inhabitants. Not that you have to stand on ceremony here; everything is geared towards your pleasure, with an emphasis on games and outdoor pursuits. Guests can fish on the private lake, or splash about in the swimming pool, bounce on the trampoline, or start a pétanque tournament; on the rare rainy day that the south of Burgundy experiences, it’s no hardship to retreat to the indoor games room for billiards, poker, or even a classic game of Monopoly.
