You’re guaranteed a supremely cosy stay in this Suffolk studio made for two. Found in the large gardens of a country house just outside of Tunstall, it’s a sweet home with all the bits and bobs a couple or single person needs for an escape to the country. Upon entry, you’re greeted with plump chairs, a king-size bed with gorgeous floral linens and a wood-burning stove for chilly nights. In the bathroom, the rainfall shower ensures a warm welcome when you return from a day’s exploring. Speaking of which, you’ll find a tranquil pond mere metres from your doorstep, where newts dip in and out of the water and dragonflies flit across the surface. Walking and cycling routes are also within reaching distance; end excursions with a pint at the pub, a short fifteen-minute stroll away. Jump in the car for a ten-minute drive to the historic sites of Orford, while a fifteen-minute trip places you at Aldeburgh’s seaside.
