Set on a Greek hillside and with views of the Mediterreanean sea from every angle, this villa is a splash of luxury on Crete. Life revolves around the water on this part of the island, from the long infinity pool that overlooks the mountains to the crystal clear seas at Balos Bay and Falassarna – both only a 20-minute drive away. When we’re not soaking up the sun on one of the pool-side loungers, we love sunset dinners on the covered terrace, which also has a BBQ for alfresco cooking. Midday siestas are made irresistible thanks to comfy double beds, both of which face sliding doors that can be pulled open to let the sea breeze in. For days when we feel like exploring, Kissamos town is a short drive and has plenty of options for boat trips to explore Crete’s many bays and beaches. Similarly, nearby village Kaliviani has several tavernas, which serve delicious Greek plates.
