Do you have a question about this home or the local area?
It's easy to find yourself transported to the era of local resident Jane Austen when you relax in the lounge of this lovely Georgian home. With decorative plasterwork, huge sash windows, original working shutters, an open fire and a sumptuous brass bed, it's the perfect love nest for any modern-day Elizabeth Bennett and her Mr Darcy. On summer's evenings, the fragrant garden is just the place for a glass of wine, or if you're visiting in winter, a flickering fire in the grand drawing room sets the scene for a romantic evening a deux. When you're ready to explore, take a promenade into the city (the centre is just a five-minute stroll) to admire the historic crescents, Roman Baths and the Abbey. Bath's 21st Century charms are just as manifold, with an array of independent shops and cafés to enjoy, such as those in Margaret's Buildings, less than a minute on foot. Or unwind at the Thermae Bath Spa with its roof-top pool (a ten-minute saunter).
