Nestled in C S Lewis' homeland, Oxfordshire, you'll find yourself in the land of Narnia at these two beautifully appointed cottages overlooking 70 acres of private meadow and country fields. A wooded wardrobe connects these two charming cottages, perfect for a group of friends who prefer living a little more privately. With exposed stone hearths, wooden beams and picturesque views, this home couldn't get a more cosy, bucolic feeling if it tried. Rural harmony washes over this home inside and out, whether you're taking turns stoking the firepit outside or snuggling down with a good book next to the fireplace in the comfy living room. For wet weather days, there's an indoor games room with a pool table, tennis table, darts board and movie projector. Come together for convivial breakfasts in the dining room that looks out onto the rambling green hills beyond. Enjoy your morning coffee in the lush gardens before a day of exploring – it's just a short drive to dozens of Cotswolds villages, with plenty to do in the immediate area. Drive to the achingly quaint market towns of Burford and Woodstock in less than half an hour and ensure you stop by Blenheim Palace en... route. Nearby Hook Norton is home to one of the area's most popular breweries, where the beer tastes great and the staff are lovely – it's always worth a visit. While you're out here, make sure to wander from village to village and treat yourself to some lunch in the charming pubs that dot the landscape.
