Right on the shore of Lake Garda, this remarkable Art Deco villa was built in the 1920s by Giancarlo Maroni, the architect best known for designing Vittoriale degli Italiani, the monumental home of poet Gabriele D'Annunzio (which can be visited a few kilometres away). The interiors still retain their Art Deco flair, with parquet floors, marble bathrooms and an elegant piano, but it’s the outside that makes jaws drop: a severe stone solarium frames an infinity pool that blends seamlessly into the waters of Lake Garda. The outdoor gym, which peeks through the arches, provides a stunning backdrop to your morning workout.
