Try as you might, you'll not find a home as well-endowed as Yellow Ledbetter. Set in acres of forest at Cura di Vetralla, expect evening walks around chestnut trees, wildflowers, a fruit orchard and vegetable garden. Not that we're ignoring that rustic sunken pool that's dotted with swings, but there's also a green-house and a winter garden to amble around. Idle afternoons are best spent dining outdoors after cooking in the homely kitchen (may we mention that sink is nearly 400 years old). Rains don't dampen the mood either. You could simply warm up by the fireplace or chill out at the game-room in the basement. Watch a movie on the massage chair or indulge in some foosball – you're covered. At sixty kilometres from Rome and fifteen from Viterbo, if you ever miss the city life, you'll know where to head.
