Few homes scream 'quintessentially London' as loudly as this mews house. Secluded down a cute cobbled street, it boasts a wrought-iron spiral staircase, a balcony and a large, bright kitchen. There are also three single beds, which will suit families well. We loved how the relatively small space never feels cramped, and how the relaxation of a home is combined with a hotel-like concierge service. The Tate Britain's domestic artwork and The Thames are very nearby, as is Pimlico’s Underground station.

Home truths

The large windows in the living room/kitchen look directly onto the mews at street-level which may be a privacy issue for some.

There aren't any bedside reading lights in the single-bed bedrooms.

The spiral staircase leading up from the living room probably isn't suitable for toddlers or frail elderly guests.

The bathroom in this home is very small. That said, it has everything you need to get ready for the day.

About Pimlico

In 1825, master builder Thomas Cubitt was contracted to put together an urban plan for the undeveloped area of Pimlico, having already proved his reputation with his work in nearby Belgravia. With more than 350 Grade-II listed buildings, it’s one of the...
