This Victorian home is just a ten-minute walk from Deal Castle, or four minutes from Deal Pier and its pebble-clad shores. Ascending the exterior staircase, you can smell the sea air and hear a fanfare of squawking gulls welcoming you to town. Past the barbecue and outdoor furniture of your roof terrace (you’ll be back here later for sunset cocktails), a teal front door with a brass lion knocker beckons you inside. Stylish is an understatement. These bold interiors feature a charcoal-black lounge with a rich red, Persian-style rug and modern furniture. An original marble mantlepiece is about the only thing in the lounge that seems traditional. Curved, sash windows bring in plenty of light, and cabinets and shelves full of vintage intrigues make the space feel truly unique.
