Live the jet-set lifestyle at this Palm Springs villa of grand entrances and epic proportions. On arrival you’ll discover an elegant Spanish colonial-style home, sprawling out luxuriously across one level. Slide open its French doors to reveal interiors worthy of a design magazine cover – vaulted ceilings, lofty bedrooms (each with their own bathroom and patio), and an achingly-cool living space that begs to be lounged around in. Carrying on outside, through magnificent gardens, you’ll discover a contemporary two-storey pool house that brings this place right into the 21st century, with one of the most well-equipped gyms we ever did see. But the star of the show has to be the pool and gardens. With 360-degree mountain vistas, soaring palm trees, lush lawns, and hummingbirds busy going about their day, there is no better place to be. Start the day with a few lengths in the pool and soak in the spa, before settling down on one of the many sun decks to catch some rays. When it’s time to rustle up a meal, fire up the barbecue in the impressive outdoor dining area, while friends gather around the fire pit. Or let a private chef take over in the... gourmet kitchen, complete with a wine fridge and built-in coffee maker to cover off all the essentials. And should you be tempted to stray from this desert retreat, you’ll find downtown Palm Springs a mere fifteen minutes drive away. Though why you’d ever want to leave is anyone’s guess.
