This Grade II*-listed, sixteenth-century treasure offers you the opportunity to live like the Lord (or Lady) of the manor. While the servants might be long gone, they've been replaced with the comforts and luxuries of the twenty-first century. The kitchen is a foodie's dream, so flex your culinary muscles and enjoy a grand feast in the Great Hall. The Elizabethan Gallery is perfect for an afternoon tea or simply some quiet contemplation, while movie buffs will delight in the cinema room. We're outdoor lovers ourselves, so we'd look forward to exploring the grounds, taking a dip in the pool in summer or heading out for long coastal walks on the nearby Jurassic Coast. There's also an all-weather tennis court on the grounds. If you fancy a change of scenery, the timeless Regency town of Sidmouth is half an hour away, while the charms of Exeter and the picturesque seaside town of Exmouth are forty minutes' drive.

About East Devon
The East Devon AONB has a rugged beauty all of its own, with canary-yellow gorse trees peppering its hills and rolling green fields punctuated only by the occasional country house. And then, of course, along the southern edge lies the sea, which crashes against the coast for miles, creating curving, white-sand bays beneath towering green cliffs. Take the coastal path the entire length of the shore, and you’ll come across...
