Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

Built in 1972 and now looked after by your lovely hosts, Jenna and Michael, this woodlands home is a wonderfully minimalist yet cosy cabin tucked into the foothills of Los Padres National Park. Your hosts have lovingly created a space that invites you to relax, recuperate and engage in creative projects for a vacation you won't soon forget. They've even gathered a series of recipes from professional chefs, developed specifically for the cabin. Filled with original works of art and surrounded by mountains, this lodge is a haven for those that need to get away from the everyday hustle and bustle. Once you book, your hosts will put you in touch with a personal concierge who can take care of everything. Get cosy and comfortable in front of the fire, enjoy lavish dinners under the vaulted ceiling, go for long walks in nature (the Pine Mountain hiking trails are five minutes away) and be sure to sit out at night and gaze up at the stars.

There are five steps up the house, and eleven stairs to reach the master bedroom

Given that you’re surrounded by woodland, there’s a no open flame rule everywhere outside

We highly recommend having a car in this area, and in the winter, you might need to get snow chains on the tires – there's parking for up to four cars

The kitchen is fairly basic and there's no dishwasher

Due to the woodlands location, the power and wifi can go out (although there's a backup Verizon phone and battery just in case)

Quiet hours after 10 pm – no loud music allowed

In order to avoid any unwanted visitors, please do not leave food in your car or anywhere outside of the house

Meditation retreats run by old school hippie healers? Absolutely. Organic farms spearheaded by new-age thinkers? You’ve got it. Five-star spa hotels with gourmet dining rooms? That too....
