This 1750s cottage has been lovingly restored and now boasts a bright and modern extension, including a large living room and sociable kitchen-diner. The snug with inglenook fireplace and exposed beams is perfect for a quiet moment with a good book. In warm summer days you'll spend most of your time in the English country garden, which wraps around the cottage providing a tranquil setting for the whole group to relax in. The River Swere flows past at the end of garden, where you'll find a secluded spot with a bench for birdwatching and generally taking in your lush surroundings. It's located in the delightful village of South Newington, which dates back to the Anglo-Saxons and is mentioned in the Domesday Book. Although most importantly, you'll be within walking distance of four great country pubs, so it doesn't get more quintessential Cotswolds than this.
