Set on a quiet country lane leading into the sleepy village of Little Tew, you'll find this immaculate period home. Perfectly located to explore the Cotswolds, Chipping Norton is just a five-minute drive away and the hotspots of Soho Farmhouse, Daylesford Farm, and Cornbury Music Festival are all close by. Built in 1869, this handsome Victorian house originally served as the home to the minister of the local Baptist circuit. Its most notorious past resident is Edith Gates – the first ever woman to be recognised to hold the charge of an English Baptist church. Nowadays, this grand house has been thoroughly modernised and transformed into an elegant, stylish retreat where antiques and rich textiles add layers of interest. Spread out over three floors; there's plenty of space for you all to spill out here. But it's over in the orangery kitchen-diner where you'll be spending most of your time. With a kitchen made for action and light-filled dining space, this place makes cooking while entertaining an absolute delight. It looks out onto a manicured one-acre garden where children or furry friends alike can burn off some energy before dinner is served. And with two reception rooms, each with its own fireplace, you can look forward to toasty evenings curled up by the crackling fireside.
