Do you have a question about this home or the local area?
It's not hard to imagine that this palatial home used to be a count's summer residency. From the moment you disembark on the driveway, a luxurious vista of the perfectly manicured garden takes you back to the seventeenth century and there's absolutely no one around to tell you that you're not Italian nobility. This is a perfect home for a group planning a celebration of life and all that's great about it. The bedrooms are huge, incredibly ornate and fit for a royal – especially since, unlike many Tuscan villas, this one has large windows that help the interiors shine. You'll find plenty of secluded spots to lounge about and do absolutely nothing, whether it's by the private pool or inside the many drawing rooms. There are several locations to dine outside too, including a gorgeous green pavilion and two alfresco tables right at the foot of the front gardens. The lake offers plenty of opportunities for reflection and recreation, but if you want to explore beyond the estate, we recommend you start in the nearby medieval city of Lucca, a little over a ten-minute-drive away, before moving on to the charming city of Pisa, 15km south-west of your home.
