Get a taste of the high life and be your own Lord (or Lady) of the manor with an escape to this historic country mansion in northeast England. Dating back to the thirteenth century, this property is reached via a tree-lined, one-kilometre-long driveway and it delivers a unique experience with its regal indoor spaces, beautifully kept gardens and tranquil grounds. Made up of a manor house for up to twenty guests, plus a separate wing sleeping a further ten, there are so many wonderful spaces that deliver a memorable backdrop for your trip — from the formal dining room and the drawing rooms with open fires and plush sofas to the private courtyard for alfresco dining and socialising. Wonderfully positioned in the beautiful Northumberland countryside, this location really does offer something for everyone – you'll be just a short drive from the incredible coastline, with Blyth Beach only thirty-five minutes away. What's more, the buzzing Newcastle-upon-Tyne takes a similar amount of time in case you ever miss city life.

Host
This home is managed by Oliver
This home is managed directly by a business. A member of their staff will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Nearly twenty years ago, Oliver and his friend began curating the world's most unique and rustic getaways. Driven by their own unforgettable experience at a chateau, they have grown remarkably since then. Much like Plum, they believe in hand-picked luxury that doesn't break the bank.
This home is nominated for the Plum Guide Award.
