Stepping into the backyard of this stylish home, it’s hard to believe you’re just ten minutes’ drive from downtown Palm Springs. With old growth trees lining the shimmering pool, a hot tub and a sleek outdoor lounge, it’s more desert escape, than urban pad. Inside, it’s clear that the host has a keen eye for interior design, with quirky wall art, statement lighting and a different theme to each room. There are two living areas as well, so there’s plenty of space to spread out. We love the second lounge’s cocktail trolley, for mixing those sundown margaritas, but our favourite feature is probably the twin poolside cabanas – perfect for those lazy afternoons with a good book. Evenings here are every bit as blissful as the long, sunny days. Fire up the grill for an outdoor supper, followed by drinks round the firepit as the stars begin to twinkle overhead.
