Nestled into the very heart of Whitby, Sherlock Homes is an excellent space for a family or a few friends with children to escape to the North Yorkshire coastline. Boasting a gentle colour scheme, three comfortable bedrooms and a large, open-plan living area, there’s everything you need for a relaxing stay. Easily walk to the town’s shops, restaurants and cafes, spend a day at Whitby Beach – weather permitting, of course – and definitely don’t miss out on seeing the ruins of Whitby Abbey. The 7th-century monastery overlooks the North Sea and is an impressive sight to behold. It is also the setting of Bram Stoker’s Dracula, thus making Whitby an exciting holiday destination for the entire family. Of course, it only helps that the area is famed for its fish and chips, another family favourite that you won’t want to miss out on.

When the sun sets, ghost tours amble through the cobbled streets, revealing the town’s dramatic history. By day it’s all idyllic fishing village vibes, with a hint of Victorian holidays.
